The heir to the British throne, Prince Charles, has paid tribute to his mother Queen Elizabeth during an open-air concert outside Buckingham Palace to mark her Platinum Jubilee. He told the audience of more than 20,000 people that she'd given a lifetime of selfless service during her 70-year reign.

A court in the Colombian city of Ibague has ordered President Iván Duque to be placed under house arrest for five days for failing to protect a national park. The case relates to Los Nevados Park in the Colombian Andes. Legal experts say Mr. Duque is likely to ignore it.

A rocket carrying a crew of three Chinese astronauts is due to lift off in the coming hours for China's partially built space station. Those on board will oversee the arrival of two more modules for the space station during their six-month stay.
